Appliqued Paris Pouch

Eiffel Tower Embroidery

I've been pretty busy at the moment renovating a flat for my elderly parents-in-law to move into, so blogging has taken a backseat.  I have done a little bit of sewing though, mainly finishing the last of the teacher appreciation gifts for the wonderful educators who have guided my son towards his GCSEs.  This Paris themed pouch was, not surprisingly(!) for his lovely French teacher.  The lovely Paris map fabric was kindly sent to me in a online swap by 'Quirky Hannah' who blogs here.

  1. Josie the pouch is lovely. I love the Paris theme. One day maybe I can go to Paris. Awe...The Lord will surely bless you for helping to make a home for your in-laws. They are so blessed to have you. Hugs and blessings, Cindy

  2. Love these purses/bags that you make. what sort of stiffener do you use?

    1. I don't always use a stiffener, but if I do just the cheapest iron on lightweight interfacing I can find!

  3. That is the perfect gift for a French teacher, I bet she loved it Josie!

  4. What a great gift. I bet all the teachers are really pleased to get something so cute and thoughtful. I love the colours together. Xx

  5. Such a pretty pouch, Josie! I love all the fabrics you have used. A wonderful present for the French teacher!
    Hugs, Barbara xx
